Cendana Capital
Cendana Capital is a seed VC fund-of-funds. Based in San Francisco, Cendana Capital looks to pursue an opportunistic strategy, which will include non-traditional private equity and venture capital investments. Cendana exclusively invests in seed-stage or 'micro-cap VC' funds, which then put their money into young startups. The firm is currently on the LP Advisory Board for Accelerator Ventures, Forerunner Ventures, Founder Collective, Freestyle Capital, IA Ventures, K9 Ventures, Lerer Ventures, PivotNorth Capital and SoftTechVC. The fund had an initial goal of $60 million and closed in 2013 at $88 million. Prior to the founding of Cendana Capital, Michael Kim was one of the original partners of Rustic Canyon Partners, a venture capital firm with approximately $1 billion under management.
